Tru-Spec Men's 24-7 Tactical Softshell Jacket

Tru-Spec Men's 24-7 Tactical Softshell Jacket:whilst also offering the best possible advice through our specialist trained sales team who collectively have over 100 years experience. Purchased in XL for a 210 lb, 6'1" semi-athletic build to wear over ballistic vest and LEO duty belt. As others have mentioned the arms are a bit long but I am too so that's a good thing. If you are of similar size and never will wear any of the aforementioned items under it, a large may provide a more ideal fit. With the holster placket, all remaining typical duty belt gear can fit under the jacket without issue. A Large would have likely been too small to clear a portable radio, pepper spray, flashlight, etc., etc. If you wear a large BDU shirt (5.11, Tru-Spec, Proper, et al) get this jacket in an XL to accommodate gear. This is a very hefty soft shell with a thin fleece liner. It seems perfect for the South for most of the cooler months. Another layer or two may be needed in the colder months but with a balistic vest we typically only need a little bit of arm insulation to keep warm down here. It's probably not sufficient as a "coat" for colder climates but would still be good for spring/fall.The velcro on the shoulders makes this a great jacket if your department doesn't provide all of your gear and you'd rather spend your money on something that you can wear "off duty" (and they have a fairly flexible uniform policy). I got two department patches from our administration/equipment guy, sewed "hook" velcro on the backs and keep them in the bicep pockets. This way I can wear it wherever I like without being "tha police" but can slap the department patches on when on duty and still be identifiable.washington mall, charlotte mall, ranking top3Tru-Spec Men's 24-7 Tactical Softshell Jacket
